  1. Johnny is a kind and patient guide, booking his tour was affordable ( cheaper than others ) and also the highlight of our trip in Tetebatu. The best part of the adventure was the waterfalls!! Make sure you wear bathers and water shoes like sandals that you can get wet ! Walking through the villages was an exciting way to start the morning and we also stopped off to buy some local spices. You can buy the spices cheaper from the Oktavia Warung in town but the general quality everywhere is good. Johnny is well worth booking for your tour in Tetebatu. There was nothing he wouldnt do for us. <3 Thank you and lots of love. Emily and Oskar - AUSTRALIA

  3. Had an amazing time with Jonny, he’s recommendations were great, and he knew all the perfect spots to see. Unfortunately we didn’t luck out with great weather, but it was still a great day with Jonny taking us for drinks and afternoon lunch instead! Throughout our trip we continued to have Jonny take us on tours. Would definitely recommend, looking forward to seeing you next time!

  4. Jonny was excellent. He had a vast knowledge of the Highlands area and easily answered our many questions. We were a group of 8 but he was able to meet all our diverse needs. I would highly recommend Jonny for walking tours on the Tetebatu.

  5. As a family, with two boys aged 12 & 9, we had a fantastic day strolling amongst the countryside and rice fields and terraces with Jonny. Jonny’s communication via WhatsApp, a couple of months before we arrived in Lombok was excellent, which gave absolute confidence it was going to be a great trip. As agreed, we were picked up from our hotel in Senggigi, at 8am, and driven safely, by Kiky, to Tetebatu. Kiky was superb, chatty and informative throughout the whole journey, pointing out lots of interesting facts about the countryside and stopping for pictures of the Tobacco crops and his English is excellent. As soon as we arrived in Tetebatu we were warmly greeted by Jonny and set off walking. Jonny is fun, informative and was great with our boys and nothing was too much trouble. He clearly knows the area well and the local villagers and farmers and hugely welcoming and happy for you to ask questions and take pictures. We walked through lots of rice fields, climbed the rice terraces, thrashed rice with a local farmer, had a lovely coffee stop at a house, ate a superb lunch - the Jackfruit curry was delicious - and finished off with a gentle stroll through the forest and saw a family of long tailed Black Monkies. All in all, a first class day. If you are visiting Lombok and would like an authentic day out, call Jonny.

  11. An amazing guide to visit Tetebatu region!

Pickup from Kiki was good. Fun chats in the car and stop wherever we want for stocking up on water. (Not even needed because Jonny brought too).

The walk with Jonny in the morning was good. Sights tourists usually don’t go. Beware, climbing and wet shoes guaranteed. But the views and secluded spots were fully worth it.

Big lizards, big spiders, swimming underneath waterfalls, monkey watching, good coffee and local spices were also part of the walk around Tetebatu.

    Cheers,

(Ps: Jonny, how are the 2 flip flops doing?)
